Boys Before Flowers: Kgotboda Namja(꽃보다 남자)

Synopsis: Jan Di is an average girl whose family owns a dry cleaning store located near the luxurious and well known Shin Hwa College. Jan Di meets the four richest and most spoiled boys when she delivers laundry to the school one day. The boys are known as F4 and cause trouble to those who speak out against them.
Forbidden Love: Majo no Jouken(魔女の条件)

Akai Ito(赤い糸)

The story was one of the best-selling novels of 2007, it revolves around the “red thread of fate” connecting the young pair Mei and Atsushi and the trials they face.
Engimono: Car Radio ga Owareba(カーラヂオが終われば)

Synopsis: The story revolves around Ueno (Katou Shigeaki of NEWS) who goes to a countryside driving school to get his license. Once he gets to the school, he encounters a wacky set of dormmates, a ghost, and a driving instructor who seems to have a fear of mobile phones.
Ryusei no Kizuna(流星の絆)

Synopsis: Based on the popular novel of the same name, Ryusei no Kizuna tells the story of three orphans, whose parents were murdered long ago. Together, the three vowed on a shooting star to one day avenge their parents.
Code Blue(コード・ブルー)

Synopsis: The drama’s full title is “Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei.” The concept is based on Japan’s proposal for an emergency medical service using helicopters to quickly reach those in need.
Cinderella ni Naritai!(シンデレラになりたい!)

Synopsis: Kuramochi Bon works at a fast food burger joint, taking out the garbage. All his life he has been told he is ugly, and has never even held hands with a girl.

First Kiss(ファースト・キス)

Synopsis: A bitter-sweet and uplifting comedy drama about a young girl Mio and her brother Kazuki. To treat her illness overseas, Mio has been living away from her older brother Kazuki for the past ten years.
Boku dake no Madonna(僕だけのマドンナ)

Synopsis: Kyoichi Suzuki is an average college student in his junior year. Although he’s not in one of the top universities, he’s satisfied with his college life studying architecture. Kyoichi left home and is finally on his own, living in a beat-up apartment in Tokyo.
Innocent Love(イノセント・ラヴ)

Plot: The plot centers around the relationship of a 15-year-old couple, Jenny (Park Min-Ji) and Juno (Kim Hye-Sung), who meet in school.

The basic premise of the film comes from the Japanese blood type theory of personality, which claims that a person’s blood type can determine their personality traits. The heroine is type A (conservative and introverted) while her love interest is type B (passionate and irresponsible).
200 Pounds Beauty(미녀는 괴로워)

Synopsis: Hanna is a lip sync vocalist for Ami, the famous Korean pop singer. Even though she is always ignored because of her appearance, she has been a bright and lighthearted girl until Amy humiliates her in front of Sang-jun, her secret love. At last she makes a decision of a lifetime to have plastic surgery all over her body. Her unrequited love gets any return?

1 Pound no Fukuin(1ポンドの福音)

One day, due to excessive work out he collapses where he is found by Sister Angela, a naive fledgling nun and he immediately finds himself interested in her.

Synopsis: This drama is a set little love (“love-love”) stories at Phoenix high school centered on a bigger one
NANA 1 & 2(ナナ)

Nana has been made into a film which was released on September 3, 2005. The film stars Mika Nakashima as the punk star Nana Osaki, and Aoi Miyazaki as Hachi (Nana Komatsu). The DVD edition was released on March 3, 2006. The film did quite well at the Japanese box office, grossing more than 4 billion yen, staying in the top 10 for several weeks.
Kamikaze Girls(下妻物語)

Kamikaze Girls, known in Japan as Shimotsuma Monogatari (下妻物語, Shimotsuma Monogatari? lit. Shimotsuma Story) is a light novel written by Novala Takemoto that has been adapted into a manga and film.
Gokusen 3(ごくせん)

Synopsis: A woman from Yakuza family background aspires to be a teacher but is in for a rude awakening when she gets the worst kind of students in her class. Vice principal Sawatari changed to Akado Gakuin and is in need of a teacher for the unmanageable class 3-D. Of course, his former teacher Kumiko Yamaguchi comes to his mind. Due to her trust in the students and her martial arts skills due to being the granddaughter of a big yakuza-boss she solves the problems of the class. The class of 3-D consists of two rivaling groups, one lead by Yamato Okada and the other lead by Ren Kazama, who are actually disliking each other very much.
Gokusen 2(ごくせん)

Synopsis: Half a year has passed and Shirokin Gakuen has closed down. Yamaguchi Kumiko (Nakama Yukie) finds herself a teacher of a few young kids who don’t really benefit much from her style of teaching. Through some twist of fate, she is offered a job as a teacher in Kurogin Gakuen.
Gokusen(ごくせん)

Synopsis: The story of a young, idealistic teacher who enters Shirokin Gakuen with hopes of making a difference in the students’ lives. However, Yamaguchi Kumiko (Nakama Yukie) is in for a rude awakening when she finds that she will be the homeroom teacher of 3-D, the hardest class to maintain in the school. The students have multi-colored hair, sloppy uniforms, and show absolutely no respect to her. The leader of the class, Sawada Shin is lazy but bright and shows some interest in Yamaguchi when he notices that she is very different from other teachers. The students try to bully her to make her quit, but their attempts don’t get them very far.

Nobuta wo Produce(野ブタ。をプロデュース)

Synopsis: Kiritani Shuji is the popular guy who gets along with everyone, from the jerks to the nerds to the just plain weird. He’s the one that everyone can count on. However, what they don’t know is that Shuji knows how predictable his classmates are and he plays off their predictability to his advantage. His day-to-day existence as “Shuji-kun” is just a facade he uses to play in the school popularity game. Truth be told, Shuji is bored.
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e(花ざかりの君たちへ)
Synopsis: The drama is based on the popular manga of the same name by Nakajo Hisaya, which has already been dramatized in Taiwan. Horikita Maki plays the protagonist Ashiya Mizuki, a Japanese girl in the U.S. who one day sees the young athlete Sano Izumi (Oguri Shun) compete in the high jump on television.
Hana Yori Dango 2(花より男子) Boys Before Flowers

This second season of Hana Yori Dango picks up right after Domyoji (Matsumoto Jun)leaves for New York. After confessing to Domyoji, Makino (Inoue Mao)has not spoken to him for a year. Rui (Oguri Shun)and the other members of F4 try and help Makino meet Domyoji again by going to New York for the christmas holidays. Though F4 and Makino meet Domyoji again, he has become a completely different person, and so they leave for Japan.
Hana Yori Dango(花より男子) Boys Over Flowers

Makino Tsukushi (Inoue Mao) is the only poor student at Eitoku Gakuen, the school of the ridiculously rich and privileged that is ruled by Flower 4 or F4, a group of four boys who come from extremely powerful families: Domyoji Tsukasa (Matsumoto Jun), the leader and heir of the Domyoji World Finance Group; Hanazawa Rui (Oguri Shun), the introverted son of a large company; Nishikado Sojiro (Matsuda Shota), a player who is the heir of a tea ceremony school; and Mimasaka Akira (Abe Tsuyoshi), a madam killer with ties to the underground. If a student gets on the F4’s bad side, he/she gets a red notice and is bullied and driven out of school.
Zettai Kareshi(絶対彼氏) Absolute Boyfriend

Synopsis: Riiko Izawa (Saki Aibu) is a temp at a Dessert Company called Asamoto. They specialize in coming up with new and tasty desserts for various stores. Riiko is but a lowly employee whose job mainly consist of getting the cakes ready to be tasted during meetings, getting everyone coffees, and doing paperwork. Normal stuff, right? Well, that’s how she is as well – quite a normal girl.
Kimi wa Petto(きみはペット) “You’re My Pet”

Synopsis: Iwaya Sumire (Koyuki) is “elite.” Intelligent, well-educated, career-oriented, and doesn’t take crap from anyone, she’s an up-and-coming journalist at a large newspaper firm. And everyone at her job hates her. Men don’t like that she’s independent and tall, women don’t like that she’s smart and strong. Her last boyfriend left her because of an inferiority complex. Feeling angry and dejected Iwaya returns home depressed, and most of all lonely. However, when she finds an unconscious young man lying in a cardboard box out the front of her home.
LIFE(ライフ) the Dark Side of High School

LIFE(ライフ) is a drama Adapted from Keiko Suenobu’s popular manga This drama delves into the dark side of high school life, which deals with many controversial subjects such as student-teacher relationships and bullying, but the manga also touches on subjects such as self-mutilation, suicide, and rape. Kitano Kii stars as Ayumu Shiiba, one of the students bullied by a group of classmates led by Ayumu’s former friend, Manami Anzai (Fukuda Saki). Well, that’s not motivating eh? Let’s try it again. This is the first bullying drama that I’ve finished on one sitting.
Koizora(恋空) Movie vs. Drama

The cell phone short story Koizora: Setsunai Koi Monogatari (恋空~切ナイ恋物語?) was written by Mika, with 25 million readers by the end of the serialization. It was later published as a novel which sold approximately 2 million copies. The film adaptation was released in November 2007, with the gross revenue of 3.9 billion yen, with 3.14 million people attending the theater. The DVD was released on April 25th, 2008.
